Job Overview

A law firm seeks a leasing attorney with a minimum of five years' experience in handling commercial leases to join its Real Estate Group in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience with office, industrial, and retail leases, with solar leasing experience being a plus.

Duties

  • Act as the lead attorney in drafting and negotiating commercial leases and related agreements.
  • Supervise the work of less experienced leasing attorneys.
  • Interact directly with clients, opposing counsel, property managers, brokers, and other relevant parties.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in drafting and negotiating commercial leases and related agreements.
  • Experience with leases for multiple property types, including office, retail, industrial, and life science.
  • Substantial experience representing landlords.

Education

  • JD

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction in which you are applying.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand clients' business objectives and produce work efficiently.
  • Strong negotiating and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
