Associate Attorney - Corporate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate attorney to join its Corporate Practice Group in Albany, Rochester (Pittsford), or Long Island (Uniondale), NY. This hybrid opportunity offers a dynamic environment for legal professionals to engage in diverse corporate matters.

Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate transactional agreements and corporate documents.
• Structure, negotiate, and close mergers, acquisitions, and private equity transactions.
• Advise clients on business formation, operation, and succession planning.
• Interact with clients to maintain and grow relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups for comprehensive legal support.

Requirements

• 3-7+ years' experience in corporate law, business succession planning, and mergers and acquisitions.
• Admission to the New York State Bar required.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Effective oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Conscientiousness, dedication, and self-discipline.

Education

• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the New York State Bar.
