Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Associate Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. The role offers a focus on case strategy and professional development, with mentorship from senior attorneys. The candidate will engage in trial preparation and participate in focus groups, supported by AI technology to enhance productivity.

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury matters in litigation.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, including filing complaints.
  • Draft meet and confer letters regarding discovery disputes.
  • Prepare clients for depositions and hearings.
  • Take and defend depositions during litigation.
  • Prepare and respond to motions, including dispositive motions.
  • Attend court appearances.
  • Negotiate settlements for personal injury cases.
  • Direct and support investigations on litigation matters.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of personal injury law experience.
  • Strong background in personal injury litigation, including pre-litigation case management and discovery.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
  • Workers compensation experience is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree.

Certifications

  • Current good standing with CA State Bar.

Skills

  • Written discovery skills.
  • Conducting depositions.
