Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Criminal Law Associate Attorney in Boone, NC. The successful candidate will represent clients in challenging situations, providing legal expertise and support. This role involves working within the Criminal Law Practice Area Group, serving clients in Rutherford County and western North Carolina.

Duties

  • Conduct new client consultations.
  • Attend court, mediations, and depositions.
  • Research and prepare cases for court.
  • Perform case reviews and participate in team trainings.
  • Communicate with clients in person, by phone, virtually, and in writing.
  • Ensure a high-quality client experience.
  • Manage a high volume of cases from start to finish.

Requirements

  • Licensed member of the North Carolina Bar, in good standing.
  • Previous law firm and litigation experience preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • North Carolina Bar membership.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
  • Proficiency in legal research and case preparation.
