A law firm seeks a Junior Renewable Energy Transactions Associate Attorney to join its Energy, Environmental, Mining, and Transportation Division in Wichita, KS. The role involves working with a team of attorneys in the Renewable Energy group, engaging in diverse areas such as project development, commercial transactions, and financing.

Duties

  • Collaborate with attorneys on renewable energy projects.
  • Engage in project development and transactional practice areas.
  • Negotiate, draft, and close commercial agreements.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in renewable or conventional energy transactions, or related fields.
  • Exposure to mergers and acquisitions, financing, real estate, and/or project development.
  • Familiarity with tax credit matters, including ITCs or PTCs, is a plus.
  • Licensed to practice in or eligible for admission without examination in Kansas.

Education

  • Excellent academic credentials required.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Kansas or eligible for admission without examination.

Skills

  • Strong writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
