Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking civil litigation Associate Attorneys to join its growing legal team in San Jose, California. The ideal candidates will have 1 to 2 years of litigation experience, particularly involving discovery and depositions in practice areas such as professional negligence, transportation, products liability, or real estate-related matters. Location:

  • San Jose, CA

Duties:

  • Handle discovery processes and conduct depositions

  • Assist in all phases of civil litigation, including pre-trial preparation

  • Draft and file motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and mediations

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation matters

  • Conduct legal research and analysis for case strategy development

  • Maintain client communications and case documentation

Requirements:

  • 1–2 years of experience in civil litigation

  • Exposure to professional negligence, transportation, products liability, or real estate litigation preferred

  • Willingness to work in-office at least four days per week if not yet fully independent

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of California

Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research
