Job Overview

A law firm seeks a talented and motivated Family Law Attorney to join its practice in Huntsville, AL. This position offers the opportunity to gain in-depth experience in family law, with direct mentorship for recent graduates or junior attorneys and autonomy for experienced attorneys.

Duties

  • Represent clients in family law matters including divorce, custody, support, and adoptions.
  • Provide legal advice to potential clients.
  • Prepare cases for trial and represent clients in court.
  • Attend and assist with depositions, hearings, and client meetings.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis.
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, and motions.
  • Assist senior attorneys with all phases of litigation.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and legal staff for efficient case management.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Alabama and in good standing with the Alabama Bar.
  • 1-5 years of experience in family law litigation.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professional ethics and integrity.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
