Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Labor and Employment Associate in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience in labor and employment law, with a strong academic background and excellent communication skills. This full-time position requires some in-office presence each week.

Duties

• Conduct discovery and handle routine motions in federal and state courts.
• Respond to administrative agency charges and investigations.
• Advise clients on employment law matters, including drafting employment contracts.
• Manage wage and hour, restrictive covenant, and trade secret matters.

Requirements

• 4+ years of labor and employment law experience.
• Superior writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Admission to the Illinois Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
