Job Overview

Multiple firms across the United States — including elder law boutiques, private client practices, and mid-sized firms — are actively seeking Elder Law Attorneys with 1–10+ years of experience.
With aging populations, increased long-term care needs, and major wealth transfer underway, demand for elder-focused legal advisors is rising quickly and firms are expanding now.

If you have experience in elder law or related areas, including:

  • Medicaid planning and long-term care strategies

  • Guardianships and conservatorships

  • Elder abuse and neglect matters

  • Special needs trust planning

  • Estate planning and probate support

  • Veteran’s benefits work (preferred but not required)

Duties

  • Advise clients and families on Medicaid eligibility, long-term care planning, and asset protection.

  • Handle guardianship, conservatorship, and protective proceedings.

  • Represent clients in elder abuse or neglect matters.

  • Draft and administer special needs trusts and related planning instruments.

  • Assist with estate planning and probate tasks that intersect with elder needs.

  • Maintain direct interaction with clients, caregivers, and family members, providing clear and compassionate guidance.

Requirements

  • 1–10+ years of elder law, probate, trusts & estates, or related experience.

  • Knowledge of Medicaid planning, long-term care rules, or guardianship proceedings.

  • Strong client-counseling and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with empathy and professionalism.

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
