Patent Agent - Chemistry

Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced USPTO registered Patent Agent with a focus on Chemistry for their Seattle, WA office. The role may also be based in other locations such as Houston, TX.

Duties

• Conduct patent prosecution and manage related processes.
• Provide client counseling and prepare legal opinions.
• Engage in patent office litigation, including IPR/PGR proceedings.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in patent prosecution, preferably in a law firm.
• Experience in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical, and/or Small Molecule prosecution.
• Active USPTO Registration Number required.

Education

• Technical or advanced degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.

Certifications

• USPTO registration.

Skills

• Proficiency in technical writing.
