Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level banking associate to join its US banking and loan finance team in Washington, DC. The team represents lenders, private equity sponsors, and companies in various lending transactions, including acquisition finance and asset-based lending.

Duties

  • Work on a diverse portfolio of transactions for both borrowers and lenders.
  • Engage in lines of credit, syndicated TLA/TLB transactions, and direct lending.
  • Participate in note purchase agreement private placements and receivables financings.
  • Handle equipment financings and structured financings.

Requirements

  • Significant transactional experience in bank financing transactions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
  • Commitment to excellence and a collegial work environment.
  • Preference for candidates with at least four years of experience.

Education

  • Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Member of the Bar in the United States.

Skills

  • Ability to work effectively with sophisticated client teams.
  • Experience with UCC matters related to bank financing.
