Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced associate attorney to join its Real Estate practice group in Greenwich, CT. This role involves handling commercial real estate transactions, leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and corporate finance, with a focus on representing business owners, investors, sponsors, developers, and franchise operators.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements and leases.
  • Manage commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions from initial structuring through closing.
  • Assist in structuring and negotiating corporate finance transactions, including loan documentation.
  • Represent borrowers and lenders in financing transactions, including franchise businesses.
  • Conduct due diligence, including title and survey review, and coordinate with lenders and opposing counsel.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on transactional matters and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on complex matters while managing day-to-day responsibilities independently.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Admission to practice in Connecticut; admission in New York and/or New Jersey is a plus.
  • Must be based in or willing to commute to the Greenwich, CT area.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate and corporate transactions.
  • Experience with commercial leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions.
  • Familiarity with franchise-related transactions or franchise finance is a plus.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client communication skills.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
