A law firm seeks a Cybersecurity and Incident Response Associate in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will engage in strategic legal counsel and incident response, collaborating with seasoned practitioners.

Duties

  • Prepare and mitigate risk of security incidents for clients.
  • Advise on cybersecurity laws and regulations.
  • Support security aspects of corporate transactions.
  • Guide forensic investigations and manage regulatory risk.
  • Develop communication strategies to mitigate legal risks.
  • Assist with cybersecurity readiness and governance.

Requirements

  • Two to four years of cybersecurity/privacy experience, preferably with incident response.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Sound judgment and attention to detail under time pressure.
  • Membership in the State Bar of the office location or ability to become admitted promptly.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
