A law firm seeks an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its practice in New York. The role involves working within a dynamic team to handle national and international insurance defense matters.

Duties

• Propose and implement litigation strategies.
• Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
• Draft reports, pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Argue motions and participate in mediations and trials.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in construction defense under New York Labor Law 200, 240(1) & 241(6).
• Experience in premises liability, professional liability, negligent security, wrongful death, automobile, and sexual misconduct claims.
• Admitted and in good standing in New York; additional state admissions are a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in New York.
