Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Technology Specialist in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science for its Chicago, IL office. This role is integral to the Intellectual Property practice, offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and top-tier clients.

Duties

  • Draft patent applications, including descriptions and figures.
  • Correspond with the patent office regarding pending applications.
  • Advise patent litigation teams based on technical expertise.
  • Interview inventors about new ideas.

 

Requirements

  • Strong background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • 2+ years of patent prosecution experience (preferred).
  • Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
  • Registered before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

 

Education

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

 

Certifications

  • Registration with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

 

Skills

  • Strong technical and scientific expertise.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
