Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate with a minimum of two years of experience in energy and/or infrastructure M&A and joint ventures to join their team in any US office. The team represents a variety of market participants in transactions across the energy and infrastructure spectrum, including renewables, conventional power generation, oil & gas, and energy tech sectors.

Duties

  • Assist in M&A and joint venture transactions within the energy and infrastructure sectors.
  • Collaborate with a global team of attorneys on complex legal matters.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients in various energy-related projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Strong academic credentials and superior communication skills.
  • Membership to the State Bar of the office location is required.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the State Bar where the candidate will be located.

Salaries are in line with other top Bay Area firms, and the firm provides a $10,000 bonus for all lawyers who bill at least 1,950 hours, with additional money based on three separate billable hour levels above 1,950.
