A respected family law firm with a national presence is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Attorney to join its team in Wilmington, North Carolina. Duties

  • Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and property division

  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements

  • Conduct legal research and apply knowledge of family law to develop case strategies

  • Attend and advocate in court hearings, mediations, and trials

  • Provide legal counsel and consistent communication to clients throughout the case lifecycle

  • Collaborate with paralegals, administrative staff, and other attorneys for effective case management

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of family law litigation experience

  • Strong working knowledge of North Carolina family law

  • Ability to manage a full caseload and court calendar

  • Client-centered mindset with a high level of professionalism

  • Ability to thrive in a structured and supportive firm environment

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar
