Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Investment Funds Associate in New York, NY. This hybrid position offers some telecommuting flexibility, though the candidate must be able to work in the New York office as needed. The role involves advising on the formation, structuring, operation, and regulation of private investment funds within a dynamic corporate group.

Duties

  • Advise on the formation, structuring, operation, and financing of various private investment funds.
  • Draft, revise, and negotiate fund documents.
  • Coordinate all aspects of fund launches and closings.
  • Assist with federal and state regulatory filings and compliance obligations.
  • Travel domestically approximately 10% of the time for client or firm needs.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor and 2 years of experience in fund formation.
  • Admitted and in good standing with the NY bar.
  • Experience with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Securities Act of 1933, and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.

Education

  • Juris Doctor

Certifications

  • Licensed attorney in New York

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of investment fund regulations.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
