A law firm seeks an experienced Estate Planning Attorney in Portland, OR. The successful candidate will have over five years of experience in estate planning, including drafting wills and trusts, estate administration, and advising on tax strategies. Duties

• Advise clients on estate planning, including wills, trusts, and healthcare directives.
• Draft estate planning documents tailored to client objectives.
• Conduct client consultations and develop tax minimization strategies.
• Manage trust and estate administration, including probate proceedings.
• Stay informed on federal and state tax law changes.
• Coordinate with financial advisors and accountants on planning strategies.
• Support clients with gifting strategies and charitable planning.
• Handle guardianship and conservatorship matters as needed.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in Oregon and/or Washington.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning and administration.
• Strong drafting and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge of federal and state tax laws related to estates and trusts.
• Excellent client communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple client matters independently.
• LL.M. in Taxation or CFP designation is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in Oregon and/or Washington.
