Workers Compensation Associate Attorney

Oakland office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a workers compensation associate attorney with 2 years of experience specializing in workers compensation litigation and trial. The candidate will have opportunities to participate in trials and depositions. Will draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents. Develop legal strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients. Develop and deliver arguments and represent clients in workers compensation matters. Fluent in Spanish (75% of clients are Spanish-speaking) is required. Must be Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar. Familiarity with the administrative appeal process to WCAB commissioners is required. Prefer trial experience (including expedited hearings).

The candidate should be team-oriented and have a positive attitude. Must be capable of handling a full applicant caseload independently (with appropriate support and supervision). Must be empathetic to the struggle of injured workers. Willing and able to attend depositions and court hearings throughout the Bay Area is required. Adaptable and meticulous attention to detail is needed.
