A law firm in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Hearing Attorney to handle all aspects of Social Security Disability claims. The ideal candidate will manage client interactions, prepare cases, and represent clients at administrative hearings. Extensive training is provided for this role. While admission to the Bar is preferred, it is not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage Social Security Disability claims, including preparation and filing of cases.
  • Conduct thorough client interviews to gather necessary information and documentation.
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and case files.
  • Represent clients effectively at administrative hearings and appeals.
  • Provide clear and consistent updates to clients regarding case status and developments.
  • Collaborate with medical experts and other relevant professionals to support cases.
  • Stay informed on changes in Social Security Disability law and regulations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation and correspondence.
  • Develop and implement case strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience or strong interest in handling Social Security Disability claims.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and administrative bodies.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
  • Admission to the Bar is preferred, but not required.

Education:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic performance and evidence of academic excellence.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar is preferred but not required.
  • Extensive training in Social Security Disability claims will be provided.
