Associate Attorney - Environmental and Water Law

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Environmental and Water Law in Sausalito, CA. The role involves working with public agencies, agricultural interests, and tribal rights, providing advisory, transactional, and litigation services.

Duties

• Advise and represent clients in environmental and water law matters.
• Prepare discovery and pleadings for litigation or adversarial proceedings.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis.
• Draft client memorandums and law and motion documents.
• Manage written discovery with limited supervision.
• Interface with clients to discuss legal and strategic issues.
• Develop and execute plans for legal matters.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in environmental and/or water law.
• Experience with public sector clients preferred.
• Knowledge of the Brown Act, Public Records Act, and Conflicts of Interest.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
