A law firm seeks a bright and ambitious Corporate and Transactional Associate to join its dynamic team in Boston. This position is ideal for candidates with 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate law who are eager to work with closely held companies, founders, executives, and investors throughout New England. The role involves a balanced mix of mergers and acquisitions, company formation and restructuring, and general advisory work.

Duties:

  • Assist in the formation and restructuring of closely held companies.
  • Provide general outside counsel and advisory services to clients.
  • Draft and review various legal documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Work directly with business owners and management on governance, contracts, and strategic partnerships.
  • Support clients with private financing, recruitment incentives for key employees, and M&A transactions.
  • Cultivate relationships and grow a personal book of business.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate/transactional law within a law firm setting.
  • Active Massachusetts Bar license with ties to New England.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and technological skills.
  • Excellent client-facing abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Massachusetts Bar license.

Skills:

  • Proficient in drafting legal documents with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience in commercial real estate acquisitions, leasing, and financing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with liquor licensing and hospitality law is advantageous.
  • Enthusiasm for building and managing a client base.
