Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Bilingual Personal Injury Attorney in Wilmington, North Carolina. This role offers an opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the community. The firm has offices in Durham, Greensboro, Wilmington, and Winston-Salem, NC, and is open to location for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients at all stages of their case, including client communication and litigation.
  • Review and analyze medical and legal documents, statutes, and case law.
  • Engage in legal writing and research, including motions, briefs, and appeals.
  • Litigate claims through discovery, depositions, mediation, negotiations, hearings, and trials.
  • Evaluate findings and develop case strategies and arguments.
  • Investigate insurance coverage and additional sources.
  • Engage in trial advocacy and guide clients through the litigation process.
  • Supervise and collaborate with the personal injury team.

Requirements

  • Fully fluent in Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Member of the N.C. State Bar or eligible to waive in.
  • Three or more years' experience in personal injury law; pre-litigation experience required.
  • Litigation experience is a plus.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.
