A law firm seeks a Senior Associate or Partner-Level Attorney with a focus on Trucking Litigation to join their team in Buffalo, NY. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in handling trucking and transportation-related litigation, with the opportunity to build and expand a practice in this area.

Duties

• Manage trucking and transportation litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Defend clients in high-exposure liability matters.
• Provide strategic guidance on litigation strategy and risk exposure.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Develop the trucking litigation practice in the region.
• Maintain client relationships and ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Work with expert witnesses in accident reconstruction and regulatory compliance.
• Manage deadlines and ensure compliance with court requirements.
• Accurately record and maintain billable hours.

Requirements

• Admission to practice in the State of New York.
• 10+ years of experience in trucking and transportation-related litigation.
• An established trucking litigation practice is preferred.
• Experience defending trucking and transportation clients.
• Involvement with the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA) is preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
