Job Overview
A law firm seeks a real estate finance associate in Seattle, WA, to join its dynamic Real Property practice. This role focuses on real estate finance transactions, emphasizing lender representation in financing affordable housing and community development projects. The associate will engage in sophisticated transactions, including construction and permanent loans, tax credit financings, and public-private development projects.

Duties

  • Assist in representing lenders, developers, and investors in complex real estate finance transactions.
  • Provide support on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing matters.
  • Draft and negotiate loan and transaction documents, review structures, and support closing processes.
  • Conduct and manage real estate and finance due diligence, including title and survey analysis.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on due diligence, documentation, and closing matters.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and team members on complex real estate and financing matters.

Requirements

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice in Washington State.
  • Minimum 2+ years of real estate transactional experience.
  • Experience with commercial real estate financing transactions.
  • Interest in affordable housing finance and public-private development projects.
  • Experience conducting real estate and finance due diligence.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments independently and collaboratively.

Education

  • JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to practice in Washington State.
