Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled Labor and Employment Attorney in Corona, CA. The successful candidate will handle a variety of employment cases, including wage and hour disputes, harassment, wrongful termination, and whistleblower claims. This role offers the opportunity to engage in active litigation from inception to trial, supported by a dedicated team.

Duties

  • Handle all aspects of labor and employment litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation and execution.
  • Represent clients in court, mediation, depositions, and arbitration, advocating effectively at each stage.
  • Draft clear and compelling legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Communicate effectively and frequently with clients, opposing counsel, and courts, including engaging in regular settlement negotiations on behalf of clients.
  • Manage caseload independently while collaborating with company attorneys and support staff.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active State Bar membership in California.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of employment/labor or similar law experience.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active State Bar membership in California.
