Professional Liability Defense Associate Attorney

A law firm in Seattle, WA, is seeking a Professional Liability Defense Associate Attorney to defend a wide range of interesting and complex matters in the professional liability defense space. The attorney will work collaboratively as part of a team, handling all aspects of discovery, motion practice, court appearances, and client communication. Strong research and writing skills, litigation experience, and the ability to develop innovative legal strategies are essential for this role.

Duties:

• Defend a wide variety of complex matters in the professional liability defense space.
• Collaborate with a team at all levels of responsibility.
• Manage all aspects of discovery, including written discovery and depositions.
• Research and draft motions and briefs.
• Handle court appearances and motions practice.
• Communicate effectively with clients and claims professionals.

Requirements:

• License to practice law in Washington State and Federal courts (preferred).
• 3-5 years of litigation experience.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Experience in all phases of litigation, including case management, motion practice, and discovery.
• Ability to handle hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
• Creativity in developing innovative legal strategies.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications:

• License to practice law in Washington State and Federal courts (preferred).
