Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced government contracts attorney to join their team in Indianapolis, IN. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in federal government contracts law, with a preference for 6-9 years. Duties

  • Handle bid protests and acquisition regulation compliance.
  • Draft and analyze REAs, claims, and CDA claim litigation.
  • Advise on federal subcontracting and related disputes.
  • Manage terminations, OCIs, and suspension/debarment issues.
  • Engage in multiple award contracts and small business procurement.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in federal government contracts law.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Experience in a law firm setting preferred.
  • Interest in partnership and client development.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Proficiency in FAR and DFARS interpretation.
  • Ability to work independently on certain matters.
  • Experience in GovCon M&A is a plus.
  • Familiarity with aerospace/defense, infrastructure/construction, life sciences/pharmaceutical, and/or manufacturing industries is beneficial.
