Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney in New York State to manage personal injury cases from inception to resolution. The role involves handling medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, and other liability cases.

Duties

• Draft pleadings and conduct discovery, including depositions.
• Engage in motion practice and conduct legal research.
• Advise clients and develop litigation strategies.
• Gather evidence and prepare legal documents.
• Advocate for clients in court and at mediation.
• Negotiate with insurance carriers and defense counsel.
• Provide updates and consult with Supervising Attorneys.

Requirements

• Five years of litigation or related experience.
• Licensed to practice law in New York State.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
