Senior Associate - Insurance Coverage

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate to join its insurance coverage team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate is a motivated attorney with strong writing skills and the ability to manage complex insurance coverage litigation independently. Remote candidates within Texas are welcome to apply.

Duties

• Analyze third-party insurance policies and draft coverage opinions.
• Assist in federal and state litigation, including declaratory judgment actions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and mediation statements.
• Correspond with opposing counsel, clients, and the court.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis.
• Draft discovery requests and prepare subpoenas.
• Manage document productions and review document collections.
• Take and defend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
• Assist in locating and managing experts and consultants.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in Texas.
• Experience analyzing coverage under general liability, excess liability, E&O, and/or D&O policies.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
