Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Patent Agent specializing in video/audio processing to join their team in Greenville, NC. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base on a national and international scale. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of IP prosecution experience and be admitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Duties

• Draft and prosecute patent applications.
• Collaborate with a team of legal professionals.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
• Conduct research and analysis on patent-related matters.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of patent prosecution experience.
• Admission to the USPTO.
• Experience in physics, math, optics, photonics, audio, or image processing preferred.
• Experience with codecs, virtual/augmented reality, and AI is a plus.

Education

• Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.

Certifications

• Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
