Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Associate to join its team in Morgantown, WV. The position is remote, but candidates must be licensed in West Virginia and available for onsite court appearances. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation and a commitment to excellence in legal practice.

Duties

• Manage trial preparation and courtroom responsibilities.
• Conduct motion practice and handle depositions.
• Engage in research, writing, and negotiation tasks.
• Learn and adapt to new areas of law as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Licensed to practice law in West Virginia.
• Available for onsite court appearances.
• Strong academic credentials preferred.
• Oil and gas experience preferred but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in West Virginia.
