Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Associate to join its Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring group in New York. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate chapter 11 restructuring and bankruptcy litigation.

Duties

• Engage in corporate chapter 11 restructuring and related litigation.
• Collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Take ownership of workstreams and mentor junior associates.
• Contribute to business development through networking and client outreach.
• Deliver exceptional client service in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

• Two or more years of relevant experience.
• Clerkship experience in specified districts preferred.
• Large law firm experience is a plus.
• Superior written and oral communication skills.
• Strong legal drafting abilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in New York.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Proficiency in legal research and analysis.

Although more commonly thought of as a Washington, DC, firm, this New York office has many of the same practice areas.
