Workers' Compensation Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a workers' compensation attorney for their New York, NY office. The ideal candidate will have three to six years of experience in New York workers' compensation law and must be admitted to practice in New York. This hybrid position requires in-office attendance at least two days per week.

Duties

• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and conduct well-reasoned legal research.
• Draft pleadings, answer written discovery, and handle court hearings and trials.
• Communicate with clients, the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel while adhering to all deadlines.
• Travel for court, client meetings, etc., as needed.
• Work out of the New York office in a hybrid capacity.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience, preferably in workers' compensation matters.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active and good standing bar license in New York, required.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrated interest in workers' compensation law.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

• Active New York bar license.
