Associate - Litigation (Environmental Law)

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate to join its Litigation practice group in Palo Alto, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental and/or products liability litigation, with a focus on California state court experience. This role offers the opportunity to engage in complex legal matters and contribute to meaningful outcomes.

Duties

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
• Draft well-reasoned legal documents, including briefs and motions.
• Manage complex cases from inception to resolution.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative case strategies.
• Participate in court hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations.
• Engage in professional development and community involvement.

Requirements

• Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in California state courts.
• Prior law firm or agency experience preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in California.
