Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Real Estate and Corporate Law Associate to join its New Jersey office. This role is ideal for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with 1-3 years of experience, offering the chance to develop expertise in commercial real estate leasing and corporate law while collaborating with seasoned professionals.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial lease agreements for various property types.
  • Assist with lease amendments, assignments, subleases, and terminations.
  • Conduct due diligence for real estate transactions and prepare closing documents.
  • Draft and review corporate formation documents and assist with mergers and acquisitions.
  • Support securities law compliance and draft commercial contracts.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and client correspondence.
  • Collaborate with partners and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New Jersey State Bar or eligibility for admission by motion.
  • 1-3 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work collaboratively.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the New Jersey State Bar.

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience with legal research databases and document management systems.
