Trademark Associate (Prosecution)

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Trademark Associate (Prosecution) for its San Diego, CA office. The successful candidate will collaborate with experienced attorneys to protect brands across various industries, providing strategic counsel on prosecution, enforcement, litigation, licensing, and advertising matters.

Duties

• Advise clients on U.S. and foreign trademark counseling, clearance, and prosecution.
• Review clearance searches and prepare responses to PTO office actions.
• Prepare and respond to cease and desist letters and handle enforcement matters.
• Manage domain name disputes, UDRP actions, and TTAB proceedings.
• Engage in matters related to trademarks and social media platforms.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of relevant trademark and copyright experience.
• Active membership in the state bar and compliance with CLE requirements.
• Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
• Strong analytical skills for complex legal analysis.
• Effective communication with diverse clients and team members.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active state bar membership.
