Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney to join its Energy and Infrastructure practice in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have three to nine years of experience in energy projects, particularly in renewable energy and energy storage offtake work, including power purchase agreements and related contracts.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate renewable energy power purchase agreements.
  • Advise clients on energy storage offtake agreements.
  • Work on offtakes for carbon removal credits and nuclear offtakes.
  • Handle renewable energy credit agreements and hedging agreements.
  • Collaborate with clients in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 3-9+ years of relevant experience in energy projects.
  • Excellent academic credentials and superior communication skills.
  • Membership to the State Bar where the candidate will be located.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

  • State Bar membership in good standing.

Skills

  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in handling complex legal documents.
