Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced Energy Regulatory Senior Associate or Counsel in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advising clients on commercial transactions within the electric power industry.

Duties

  • Advise clients on power purchase agreements and tolling agreements.
  • Handle retail supply agreements and generation interconnection applications.
  • Manage large load interconnection and facility extension agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence in M&A and financing transactions.
  • Engage in administrative litigation before relevant commissions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the electric power industry.
  • Experience with commercial transactions and related agreements.
  • Familiarity with administrative litigation is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in Texas.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in managing complex transactions.
