Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney to join their team in Kansas City, MO. The successful candidate will collaborate with experienced litigation attorneys to address complex legal challenges. A commitment to client service is essential for this role.

Duties

• Manage plaintiff personal injury caseloads from claim process through litigation and trial.
• Interact and negotiate with insurance companies and defense counsel.
• Communicate and maintain positive client relationships.
• Draft legal documents including correspondence, pleadings, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and jury trials.
• Comply with all legal standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law in Missouri.
• Active Kansas license or eligibility to apply for admission by application.
• Minimum of one year of personal injury litigation experience.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas.
