Duties

  • Conduct initial client consultations and develop tailored legal strategies

  • Handle all aspects of clients’ cases from inception through resolution

  • Delegate responsibilities to and oversee work of paralegals and legal assistants

  • Prepare and review sophisticated estate planning documents

  • Lead and participate in final meetings with clients

  • Represent clients in court as necessary

  • Participate in quarterly staff retreats and weekly team meetings

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal systems and client experience

Requirements

  • 5–6 years of relevant legal experience preferred

  • Strong background in probate, estate planning, and/or elder law

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision following orientation

  • Empathetic approach when working with clients and their families

  • Strong leadership traits and positive team collaboration skills

  • Willingness to engage in professional development, team meetings, and firm activities

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Kentucky
