Duties:Tried numerous jury and bench trials to verdicts in criminal cases.Worked with expert witnesses and conducted evidentiary hearings on various legal issues, including competency, motions in limine, and constitutional violations.Conducted contested bail hearings, advocating for favorable outcomes for clients.Handled the responsibilities of "Lawyer of the Day," managing various legal matters on a daily basis.Conducted final contested protection from abuse hearings where the opposing party was represented by counsel. Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Bar in the state of Maine.Significant experience in handling serious criminal matters.Strong preference for federal criminal practice experience.
