Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employment Attorney in Temecula, CA, to join its dynamic employer-side employment department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience advising California employers on employment matters or defending them against labor law claims. This role offers a supportive environment, a reasonable workload, and the opportunity to contribute to a thriving small business.

Duties

  • Interface with clients and collaborate with the legal team to manage cases from start to finish.
  • Review and customize employment-related legal documents, including contracts and separation agreements.
  • Collaborate on strategy and representation in employment-related legal matters in court, mediations, and depositions.
  • Maintain a minimum of 1,450 billed and collected hours per year for full-time.
  • Origination is encouraged and rewarded.

Requirements

  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in California employment law, including litigation in state courts.
  • Federal court experience is a plus.
  • Honest, confident, and independent self-starter.
  • Superior analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.
