Job Overview

Duties

• Independently handle family and criminal cases from intake through resolution.
• Conduct regular court appearances, motions, hearings, pretrials, and trials.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda.
• Perform legal research and develop case strategy.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel.
• Keep organized case files within Filevine (training provided).
• Collaborate with partners, paralegals, and support staff.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Connecticut Bar.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in family law, criminal defense, or litigation.
• Strong courtroom presence with the ability to appear independently.
• Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload with strong attention to detail.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Connecticut Bar.
