Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Employment Law Partner to join their team in Annapolis, MD. This full-time, on-site role offers the opportunity to lead and grow a sophisticated employment practice while collaborating with attorneys across various practice areas. The ideal candidate will possess deep subject-matter expertise, strong client-management skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
  • Provide expert legal counsel on complex employment law issues.
  • Prepare, review, and present legal documents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across different practice areas.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
  • Review and negotiate employment contracts and related documents.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date case files.
  • Prepare and file court documents, ensuring compliance with procedural requirements.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Represent clients at trials, hearings, and depositions.
  • Apply analytical skills to identify and resolve issues.
  • Complete special projects and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership and in good standing with the MD State Bar.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing employment law, with a focus on litigation.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of EEOC and NLRB rules and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
  • Ability to work and lead a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications
