Duties

  • Represent clients during USCIS interviews, removal proceedings, bond hearings, and parole requests.
  • Prepare and file immigration petitions, motions, and legal briefs with precision and attention to detail.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support cases effectively.
  • Provide expert guidance on asylum law, both in affirmative and defensive contexts.
  • Supervise and mentor legal staff to ensure efficient case management and adherence to firm standards.
  • Maintain outstanding client service, ensuring clear and compassionate communication throughout the legal process.
  • Manage a fast-paced caseload, prioritizing tasks to meet strict deadlines.

Requirements

  • Licensure:
    • Must be admitted to practice law in Texas or any U.S. state.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of three years of experience in removal defense litigation is required.
  • Language Proficiency:
    • Fluency in Spanish is mandatory.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Google Calendar is essential.
    • Familiarity with Cerenade case management software is preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas or another U.S. state.
