Job Overview:
A prominent Wisconsin-based law firm is seeking an experienced Employment and Labor Attorney to advise and represent employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters. This role offers the opportunity to work with both public and private sector clients on complex issues such as collective bargaining, employment policy, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution. Location:

  • Eau Claire, WI

Duties:

  • Provide counsel on employment law compliance and workplace policies

  • Draft and review employee handbooks, employment contracts, and severance agreements

  • Represent employers in collective bargaining negotiations

  • Handle claims related to unemployment compensation, unfair labor practices, and workplace disputes

  • Advise on compliance with FMLA, OSHA, wage and hour laws, and discrimination statutes

  • Represent clients in grievance and interest arbitrations

  • Participate in hearings before administrative agencies and tribunals

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in employment and labor law

  • Familiarity with both public and private sector labor relations

  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment regulations

  • Experience with administrative hearings and arbitrations preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Wisconsin State Bar (in good standing)

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and drafting abilities

  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive employment issues with professionalism and discretion
