Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate to join the Global Transportation Finance team in Chicago, IL. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse team on complex international and domestic transactions involving aviation, rail, maritime, and general equipment assets.

Duties

  • Collaborate with shareholders on business development and client-facing activities.
  • Participate in the financing, leasing, acquisition, and disposition of transportation assets.
  • Manage multiple transactional matters simultaneously.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts with precision and clarity.

Requirements

  • 2-6 years of transactional experience at a law firm.
  • Experience in securitization, leveraged finance, secured lending, or related fields.
  • Strong contract drafting and negotiating skills.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
  • Admitted to practice in Illinois or taking steps to become admitted.

Education

  • J.D. degree or equivalent with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

  • Admitted to the bar in Illinois or eligible for admission.
