Job Overview

A law firm seeks a patent agent or associate to join its Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Patent Prosecution practice group in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and relevant experience in patent preparation and prosecution.

Duties

  • Draft and file high-quality patent applications.
  • Oversee and manage patent preparation and prosecution for a diverse client base.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of patent submissions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
  • Experience with graphics processing units, tensor processing units, accelerators, neural engines, and robotics circuitry.
  • Admission to the USPTO is required.
  • JD and active bar admission required for associate candidates.

Education

  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, physics, or mathematics.

Certifications

  • USPTO admission.

Skills

  • Superb writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.
